Quick look at Punch Club 2: Iron Fist DLC

Punch Club 2: Iron Fist DLC feels like an unfinished addition to a great game. The core gameplay loop of resource management and combat is still enjoyable, but the robot-focused expansion feels like a weird way to go at times.

While the idea of building and battling your own robot is exciting at first, it quickly becomes repetitive. The core gameplay mechanics remain largely unchanged, and the robot element feels more like a cosmetic change than a substantive addition.

The story is disappointingly short and lacks the depth of the original game. Customization options are limited, and the new tech tree and skill system feel familiar to the main game. Balancing the DLC with the main game is also challenging, as both require significant resources.

The new tech tree and skill system is a hit and miss. On one hand, it offers some fresh challenges and strategies. On the other, it feels like a rehash of the original game’s mechanics. There’s also a balancing gameplay involving resources. You’ll find yourself torn between progressing in the main game and pouring everything into your robot.

So it it worth it a buy? I would say wait for a sale. It’s a 4-5 hours long, it’s not bad but just not great. I would definitely pick it up at a discount if I had enjoyed the base game.
