The cheapest Hall Effect controller: GameSir T4 Kaleid Wired
In the middle of 2023 there has also been a release of GameSir T4 Kaleid Controller. It’s a cheaper wired-only alternative, priced at $41.99 with their own hall effect sensors. It’s definitely the best priced gamepad with Hall Effect sensors out there.
The GameSir T4 Kaleid Controller impresses with its significant upgrades over the G7 (previous controller from the company), despite a couple of initial hiccups. The hall effect sticks are a joy, but the thumb grips may need an aftermarket solution for optimal use. The D-Pad outshines the G7’s, and the ABXY buttons feel more responsive.
While it’s a bit bulkier, the ergonomics still make it comfortable, even superior to the G7 after extended use. The trigger action is smoother, and the absence of rubber grips is a welcome change. The price is fair for a wired controller with two back buttons and no trigger stops. At $42, it’s a reasonable buy considering the quality offered. Despite being new to the market, the T4K delivers a solid gaming experience, earning it a solid 4.5 stars from me. If priced at $35, it’d have been a no-brainer 5-star product.
