Pistols & Active Reloads
Your pistols are your primary weapon but come with limited ammo. When your pistols run out, they need to be reloaded.
- Overdrive Reload: To reload efficiently, press the Shoot Pistols button at the right time to activate Overdrive Reload, speeding up your reload and maximizing damage output.
- Quick Absorb: Similarly, time your Wrath Absorb correctly to trigger Quick Absorb, which will save you precious time in critical moments.
- Sword Spin: Press the Sword Attack button at the right moment to initiate a Sword Spin, allowing you to damage multiple enemies and gather Heavy Weapon ammo.
Heavy Weapons

Blood Gems, Kill Power & Wrath Energy
Defeating enemies drops Blood Gems, which offer two options:
- Kill Power: Pick them up to increase your Kill Power, boosting movement speed and pistol damage.
- Wrath Bursts: Alternatively, absorb them with Wrath Absorb to charge your Wraith Energy, allowing you to fire powerful Wrath Bursts when your meter is full.
Wrath Bursts
Each heavy weapon has a unique Wrath Burst attack.
- Activate Wrath Burst: Hold Wrath Absorb and fire your Heavy Weapon to unleash a devastating Wrath Burst. Enemies killed by it drop Health Shards, which recover your health.
Score & Kill Stream
Maintaining a continuous Kill Stream boosts your score for leaderboards.
- Extra Score: Absorb Health Shards when at full health to rack up extra points.
Drive Attacks & Hyper Drive
Some enemies will launch Drive Attacks, indicated by red flashes.
- Drive Counter: Counter these by timing your Sword Attack perfectly.
- Hyper Drive: If you have a Sword Charge, hold down the Sword Attack during the counter to slow down the game with Hyper Drive, giving you an advantage in combat.

- Unlock Gear: Completing objectives unlocks new weapons, armor, and augments. Try different loadouts to find what works best for you.
