Hand in Hand is a puzzle platformer with a story that warmed my heart – even if it did make me sniffle a bit at times. You play as Lina and Minho, two lovebirds who get separated in a magical world under attack by shadowy bad guys.
Now, the neat thing about Hand in Hand is you can play it with a friend, each controlling one character on a split screen. But yoo can also play solo and control both Lina and Minho yourself, which takes some practice, but trust me, it’s worth it.

The way the game works is Lina and Minho explore their own separate parts of the screen, but the levels are connected. Lina can turn invisible and make special platforms, while Minho smashes through walls like a champ. They gotta work together to solve puzzles, like Lina flipping a switch to open a door for Minho, or Minho pushing a key through a portal for Lina to unlock something. It’s like a cute little teamwork exercise!
Speaking of puzzles, they’re clever and can get tricky at times. There were a few moments where I felt like my brain was about to explode trying to figure out how to get Lina and Minho past some obstacle course. But when you finally crack the code and they overcome the challenge together, that feeling of accomplishment is pure gold.

The graphics in Hand in Hand are beautiful, like a storybook come to life. The music is kind of haunting sometimes, which makes sense because the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. But it fits the mood perfectly.
Now, the story itself isn’t super long, but it’s packed with emotion. You see Lina and Minho searching for each other, leaving little messages and memories along the way. It’s a sweet reminder of the power of love and how we can overcome anything when we work together, even if we’re far apart.

Hand in Hand works in split-screen local co-op and online via Remote Play Together.
Overall, Hand in Hand is a delightful game. It’s perfect for a cozy night in, especially if you can grab a friend to play with. It might make you think a little, it might make you feel a little emotional, but most importantly, it’ll leave you smiling. So, if you’re looking for a charming puzzle platformer with a heartwarming story, Hand in Hand is definitely worth checking out!
