“63 Days” is an isometric real-time tactics game developed by the team behind “War Mongrels.” The game is set during the Warsaw Uprising in World War II and focuses on the struggle of the Polish resistance against the occupying German forces.

I’ve played the demo the developers released on Steam recently and I’m impressed. It contains a tutorial and one mission and it’s really good in many aspects. The graphics, story, mechanics all are great.
You play as a member of the Polish resistance during the Warsaw Uprising. The story is told from the perspective of the first generation born into a free Poland after 123 years of foreign occupation. With the outbreak of WWII, the protagonist and their companions have lost everything, but they are united in their desire to reclaim their city and nation, or die trying. The narrative emphasizes the themes of bravery, camaraderie, and the overwhelming odds faced by the resistance fighters.

“63 Days” shares a similar gameplay style with “War Mongrels,” focusing on real-time tactics in an isometric view. This involves managing a group of resistance fighters, utilizing their individual strengths, and employing strategic maneuvers to complete missions against the occupiers.
Overall, the demo of “63 Days” left me wanting for more. It’s a powerful mix of history, strategy, and really good storytelling. I can’t wait for the full release to see if the whole game will be as good as the demo mission. It’s coming out later in 2024.
