V Rising has been out for a while now, and it’s a solid game. You’re a vampire, you build a castle, you hunt humans, you fight bosses. Simple, right? Well, they just dropped a new DLC, the Eternal Dominance Pack and it’s all about making your castle look super fancy. I’ve been messing with it for a few days, so let’s talk about whether it’s worth your blood money.
First off, what do you get? A ton of stuff. If you like gold, gems, and purple, you’re in luck. This pack is basically a giant box of luxury items for your castle. We’re talking new wallpapers, floors, stairs, windows with curtains, gates, and heaps of decorations. You get different tables, chairs, sofas, lamps, and even statues and pools. The best part? Almost all of these come in 12 different colors. That’s huge. You can actually make your castle match. I went with purple and green, and it looks pretty cool.

It’s not just for your castle, though. You also get five new armor pieces that look silky and expensive. They don’t make you stronger, but they look good. My favorite part is the Gilded Darkwolf skin for your wolf shapeshift. It makes your wolf look golden and awesome. If you ride horses, there’s also the Darkvenom War Saddle, which decks out your horse in gold and purple. Both look great, but I wish they had the same color options as the castle stuff. It would be sweet to have a red wolf or a blue horse.
After playing with this pack, my castle feels way more “mine.” Before, it was just a place to store loot and craft. Now, it’s actually a cool-looking base. Coming back to a castle with gold trim and fancy carpets after a tough fight just feels better. It adds to the vampire fantasy, making you feel like a true lord of the night, not just some cave dweller.

So, should you buy it? The pack costs $19.99. That’s more than most of V Rising‘s other DLCs, which are usually $9.99. The big difference here is the sheer amount of items and, more importantly, the color options. Other packs, like “Castlevania,” have some cool stuff, but it’s mostly fixed colors. “Dracula’s Relics” has some basic but useful black wallpaper and tiles. “Sinister Evolution” has cool glass windows, but the rest doesn’t fit well with other styles. “Eldest Bloodline” is mostly just statues. The “Halloween” pack is free in October, so grab that then.
“Eternal Dominance” wins because of the color choices. You get so much more variety and can actually make things look consistent. It’s a big pack, and if you love building and decorating in V Rising, this is probably the best one for you. Yes, it’s only cosmetics, but if you spend a lot of time in your castle, it makes a difference.

Pros:
- Tons of new castle decorations.
- Most items have 12 color options, letting you customize a lot.
- Cool new wolf and horse skins.
- Makes your castle feel much more personal and luxurious.
Cons:
- It’s $19.99, which is pricier than other DLCs.
- Everything is cosmetic; no gameplay changes.
- Wolf and horse skins don’t have color options.
Overall, if you’re a V Rising player who enjoys making your base look good, this pack is a strong recommendation. It’s expensive for just cosmetics, but the sheer volume and the color customization make it stand out. My castle went from “functional” to “fabulous,” and I’m pretty happy about that. Just remember, the cool greatsword in some pictures isn’t part of this pack; it’s a separate in-game item. Don’t make the same mistake someone else did!
