Sasha discovers teleportation, which intrigues Nikolai, while Irina stumbles upon a dangerous and uncontrollably spreading red mold indigenous to the moon. Despite Irina’s warnings, Nikolai prioritizes the teleportation research over addressing the mold issue. Irina secretly reaches out to Volgravia for help, but her message is intercepted by Olga, who informs Nikolai.

As the story unfolds, Nikolai retaliates by killing Irina with an injection of the toxic red mold. In response, Stas confronts Nikolai, who ultimately kills him as well. Eventually, Nikolai recognizes the danger posed by the red mold and escapes the moon with Olga, leaving Sasha behind.

The Simulation and the Twisted Plot

Nikolai and Olga devise a plan to retrieve the abandoned teleportation research from Rhea. They return to the base and discover Sasha in a comatose state. Somehow, they manage to put Sasha and Nikolai’s consciousness into a simulation together, with Nikolai posing as an Atlantic Union agent named “Professor.” Sasha, now known as Agent Epsilon, is the player’s character in the game.

Throughout the simulation, the player’s subconscious tries to break free from the deception, manifesting as a mysterious figure in an astronaut suit, cryptic messages, and a red pawn moving through a chess game. The story unfolds as the Atlantic Union occasionally loses connection with the simulation, leading to the game’s climactic ending.
